Lisa Kalfas, DDS, is a 1987 graduate from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry. Since 1997, she has completed several intensive, post-doctoral programs in cosmetic dentistry at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. She was invited to join the faculty in 1999 and currently teaches post-doctoral courses in cosmetic and advanced dentistry to other dentists. She was awarded a Fellowship by LVI in 2008.

Dr. Kalfas has been practicing dentistry in Boulder since 1989 and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Colorado Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, the International Association of Comprehensive Aesthetics, and the International College of Cranio-Mandibular Orthopedics.

Dr. Kalfas is committed to providing exceptional dental care. She uses only the finest dental materials, techniques, and laboratories. She utilizes dental lasers in the practice as well as neuromuscular computer technology, and uses only mercury-free products. She is committed to continuing education, attending multiple meetings and classes each year to keep current on the latest dental technology and procedures.

Dr. Kalfas is also the author of numerous articles for dental professionals and has published articles on dental products and techniques for Dental Products Report, a dental trade journal.

Early in her career, Dr. Lisa Kalfas worked for Boulder Dental Aid, a community clinic offering low-cost dentistry to low-income families and individuals. Currently Dr. Kalfas participates in the Give Back A Smile program sponsored by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. This program provides no-cost dentistry to victims of domestic abuse. Dr. Kalfas is committed to hunger relief and supports food programs both locally and internationally. Dr. Kalfas also does charitable dentistry for the Stout St. Foundation, a rehabilitation and recovery center based in Denver, as well as the Boulder Valley School District’s “Give Kids A Smile” program.

Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, a passion for skiing drew Dr. Lisa Kalfas to Colorado where she did her undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado in Boulder. Along with skiing, Dr. Kalfas enjoys running, hiking, biking, and yoga. She lives in the mountains outside of Boulder with her family.
